If you have chronic patterns of tension in your body and injuries, a deep tissue massage focuses on the deepest layers of the body's tissues, releasing muscle tension and repairing muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage specializes in creating muscle balance within the body by therapeutically lengthening the short muscles (tense). Its corrective and therapeutic benefits will help you with chronic/repetitive injuries (tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, headaches), neck/back tension and pain, sciatic nerve pain, whiplash injuries. etc.
Whether you're an athlete, participating in sports, or exercise for a healthy lifestyle, sports-related injuries (strains, sprains, joint pain, inflammation) can hold up your progress and limit your performance levels. Pre event massage prepares and improves your performance. Post massage aids in speeding up recovery time, reducing injury and removing lactic acid. Sport massage is highly beneficial for people of all ages, active in a chosen sport or active lifestyle. Clients include athletes of all levels (youth, amateur, and professional) and the general population that choose an active lifestyle.
Acute, chronic, and repetitive injuries (back, carpal tunnel, headaches, tennis elbow, tendonitis, muscle strain, etc.), as well as one-time injuries, need special attention with specific therapeutic massage techniques treating the root cause of your injuries. Some benefits include: reduction in pain, inflammation, and muscle tension, while preventing and/or breaking down scar tissue, and improving joint mobility and lymphatic drainage.
